FLORIDA WINE FESTIVAL – Community Festival PDF Print E-mail

Saturday, March 20
12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Wine lectures are back for the 2010 Saturday portion of our festival. At this community-wide celebration, learn about wine and enjoy wine tastings from featured experts. Admission to The Brogan Museum is FREE for the day as part of the Tallahassee Vistors Bureua's Get Out and See Tallahassee series. There will be a variety of hands-on activities for children and FREE performances by area musicians and artists throughout the day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. A $10 "Sip and Shop" option will be available for those wanting to participate in wine tastings and lectures. In the Florida Wine Festival tradition, the Saturday event will begin with a celebrity grape-stomping competition, with last year’s winning team, The City of Tallahassee Leadership Team, defending their title to the sensational sounds of the FAMU Marching 100. Vendors will offer a variety of merchandise, and local cultural organizations will have a presence at the event. Come enjoy the atmosphere and indulge your senses with Piggy's BBQ | Tallahassee's Number 1 BBQ, Soul Vegetarian and Food-A-Fair providing a funnel cake bar, chicken finger Phillies, jumbo hot dogs and fresh spring lemonade!
